The Leiter Group - Location/Map
The Leiter Group is located in an office building owned by the firm at 309-A Main Street, directly across the street from the Peoria County Courthouse. The facility was constructed in 1862 and is the oldest building in the block. It was restored in 1980 with the exterior reflecting the building's historical facade.
The firm is connected to the Westlaw computer-aided legal research system. Westlaw allows the user to search the decisions of the courts of the 50 United States and all federal courts. It also provides access to all state and federal statutes and the regulations promulgated by many different regulatory agencies. Additionally, the Westlaw database includes hundreds of professional journals and academic publications. Westlaw gives the firm immediate access to recent decisions and the ability to determine if a given case has been overruled or questioned by any other court in the land or whether a particular statute has been construed by the courts.
